First day of the season here in mass.
Setup in blind with my new Elite Impulse 31
I put the decoys out and did a little calling.
    I had one gobbler answer.
Next thing you know here are 3 jakes and a gobbler behind them.
The gobbler was a little hesitant to cross the shooting lane. He finally stuck his neck out at about 17 yards, I shot for the neck and almost severed it clean off with a rage hypodermic.
    Nice bird, 22lbs 3/4 “ spurs and 9.5 “ beard.
Tomorrow I will see if I can get one of the jakes.

#2 turkey down with the bow this morning.
I had that group of jakes hanging around again and put a rage through the body on this one. 14 lbs of tender meat.
Sorry about the picture, took it when I got home. Turkey season is over for me.

Congrats! I'm just getting warmed up, still dealing with those darn hens ;) here, they need to get on a nest and leave me alone.

Bruce, I was lucky in the fact that I got to these birds before they got to the hens.
Each day I was done between 7-7:30.

I'm hoping the warm weather this next week will get the hens on the nest. Fri. morning I set in my blind in the rain until almost eight, come out to see a gobbler 75yds away all by him self  just feeding. Took Sat off to catch up, back after em tomorrow :D.
