Middleton Crossbows... "were extremely awesome" …
back when Middleton was an active company.

I hope to see Middleton "make a comeback"...
even if he comes back as a seller of aftermarket limbs and aftermarket stocks for existing Excalibur bows....

Presently, I would use Middleton limbs
and a "Middleton Finger Guard Stock"
      on my personal
      Excalibur IBEX SMF...
if compatible limbs and stock become available....
and, if I could gain some speed by doing so.

I am sure that "some" other people would use
      Middleton limbs....
… if they become available again.

      FOR NOW :
I like the custom finger guards …
      How did you do it?

@Bob Missouri thanx Bob, it's very easy actually. 3/4" 90° aluminum angle from my local HD, I chose the black powder coated color (about12$ for an 8 footer). Measured the zone where my fingers may contact the string and cut to size with tin snips, smoothed things with a little filing. I had some faux carbon fiber vinyl Leftovers from another project so I stuck it on the top side and black silicone fastens it to the stock. I used a bit of tool box liner on the underside for finger grip.
